02 — Why it matters
Retail loss is rarely one dramatic event. It is the steady accumulation of shoplifting, organised group theft, till and stockroom loss, and refund fraud — each individually small, collectively significant.
But retail security has a second job that a warehouse guard does not have: your officer is one of the first people a customer sees. Get that wrong and you have protected the stock while damaging the trade.
