01 — Service overview
Stewarding is the part of an event the public actually interacts with. Where to go, how long the queue is, which gate, where the toilets are, what happens when it starts raining — the steward answers all of it, and the answers shape how the event is remembered.
It is also the part most often under-resourced, because stewarding roles are not licensable and are therefore treated as the cheap line on the budget. We staff it with trained people in a defined management structure, because sufficient numbers of adequately trained stewards is the organiser's legal responsibility, not a nice-to-have.
02 — What we provide
/01
Stewards positioned where people get confused, briefed well enough to actually answer the question.
/02
Keeping lines moving and preventing the pinch points that turn a queue into a crowd problem.
/03
Watching density and behaviour so problems are spotted while they are still small.
/04
Front-of-stage stewarding where crowd pressure is highest and response time matters most.
/05
Getting vehicles in, parked and out without blocking the routes that need to stay clear.
/06
The procedures that only matter once, and have to work the first time.
03 — Why MavCo
/01
Stewards are briefed on your site, your procedures and your escalation path before they start, not handed a hi-vis at the gate.
/02
Supervisors, radio callsigns and a clear chain of command — which is what the responsibility actually requires.
/03
Most of the job is talking to the public. We pick for that as much as anything else.
/04
Stewards and licensed officers are briefed together, so escalation from one to the other is immediate.
/05
We will tell you how many stewards the site needs, including when that is fewer than you expected.
/06
Plans account for the event getting wet, running late or over-attending, because those are the normal outcomes.
