MavCo Security offers professional door supervision to keep your venue or event running safely and smoothly. Our experienced, licensed personnel provide a range of security solutions tailored to your specific needs.
All our door supervisors are SIA-certified and fully trained to handle a variety of situations — from routine ID checks at a quiet door to a crowded night where the difference between a good evening and a serious incident is how early someone reads the room.
02 — Why it matters
Everything that happens inside your venue is shaped by who was allowed in and how they were treated on the way. A door team that is thorough but civil sets a standard for the night. A door team that is either careless or confrontational sets a different one.
For licensed premises there is also a compliance dimension. Age verification, capacity, refusal records and incident logs are not optional extras — they are the evidence that protects your licence when something goes wrong.
Our door supervisors are trained to manage entry properly, to de-escalate rather than escalate, and to record what happened accurately enough that it stands up later.
03 — What we provide

Thorough screening at entry points including ID checks and bag searches, carried out consistently and civilly so that the process is quick for the people who should be coming in.

Managing the flow at the door so the venue stays within capacity and the queue outside stays orderly, which matters as much to your neighbours and your licence as it does inside.

Most situations at a door are resolved by tone and timing rather than force. Our supervisors are trained to read a situation early and take the heat out of it before it becomes an incident.

Door supervision does not stop at the door. Officers work the floor, watch for vulnerability and anti-social behaviour, and support your staff at the bar and in the smoking areas.

The end of the night carries as much risk as the middle of it. We manage a controlled close-down and disperse the crowd calmly, which is often what your licence review will focus on.

Refusals, ejections, first aid and anything else of note recorded properly on the night, so you have a defensible record rather than a recollection.
