01 — Working here

A job, not a shift lottery

MavCo Group runs five divisions — security, training, events, workforce and facilities — which means the work does not stop when one contract ends. Officers move between sites, pick up event work at weekends, and step into supervisory roles as they prove themselves.

We employ our people directly rather than pushing every shift through a chain of subcontractors. That matters on both sides: you know who you work for and who to call, and our clients get the same faces on site week after week.

If you are licensed and reliable, we want to hear from you. If you are neither yet but you are serious about the industry, we would still rather have the conversation — our training arm exists for exactly that reason.

Roles we recruit for

/01

Security Officers

Static and mobile officers on corporate, construction and industrial sites. Days, nights and weekends across London and the UK.

/02

Door Supervisors

Licensed door staff for bars, clubs, venues and events — screening on the door, capacity and conflict handled properly.

/03

CCTV Operators

Public space surveillance work in staffed control rooms, watching live feeds and escalating what matters.

/04

Event Stewards & Crowd Safety

Festivals, concerts, sporting fixtures and corporate events. Ideal if you want flexible, seasonal work.

/05

Retail & Loss Prevention

Shop floor and front-of-house officers combining visible deterrence with genuine customer service.

/06

Concierge & Front of House

Residential and commercial front desks — access control, deliveries and residents, presented well.

/07

Waking Watch & Fire Marshals

Overnight patrols in residential buildings, alarm checks and clear escalation.

/08

Mobile Patrol & Keyholding Drivers

Alarm response and patrol rounds. A full UK driving licence is required for these roles.

/09

Cleaning & Facilities Operatives

Commercial cleaning and facilities work across our managed contracts.

03 — Before you apply

What you will need

/01

The right to work in the UK

We check this for every role, without exception. Bring your documents to interview.

/02

An SIA licence — or the will to get one

Most security roles need a valid SIA licence. If you do not hold one yet, ask us: our training arm is a Highfield approved centre and we can point you at the right course.

/03

A checkable work history

We ask for a five-year history and two references. Gaps are fine — we just need to be able to account for them.

/04

Reliability above everything

Turning up, on time, in the right kit, every shift. It is the whole job, and it is the thing clients notice first.

/05

Presentation and manner

Most of this work is dealing with people. We select for how you handle a conversation as much as anything else.

/06

A DBS check for some roles

Certain residential, retail and event contracts require one. We will tell you up front if a role does.
