A crowd behaves differently to a group of individuals. Movement concentrates at pinch points, queues build faster than expected, and a small obstruction in the wrong place becomes a genuine safety problem rather than an inconvenience.
Most event incidents are not caused by hostile people. They are caused by too many people trying to move through a space that was not designed for it, at the moment everybody decided to move at once.
Our stewards are trained in crowd control techniques to ensure the orderly flow of attendees, minimise congestion and prevent incidents such as overcrowding or queuing issues — and to resolve the disputes that do arise before they affect the atmosphere for everyone else.
